The CASA Kid Walk is about our community making sure that every abused and neglected child in Humboldt County has the chance to become a happy, healthy adult. Community members form teams and fundraise throughout the Kid Walk season.
Fundraising fun began officially at the Kid Walk Kick Off on Saturday, August 18th. Teams gathered at Carson Park in Eureka to compete for $100 prizes toward their overall fundraising goals. Suggested minimum goal for each team is $1,000 - the cost of providing an abused or neglected child with an advocate each year.
All teams gather at the gazebo in Old Town Eureka for face painting, photos, magic, and more. The final count is done at noon before the crowd marches in a small parade to a lunch banquet and awards ceremony. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams. Best of all…
CASA of Humboldt needs your help.

Volunteers in our own neighborhoods and towns - people like you - step up to advocate for children who would easily slip through the cracks. Not everyone has the time to devote to being an advocate, but everyone can help.
A huge variety of fun fundraising ideas are waiting for you at CASA Kid Walk Headquarters.
$1000 dollars is all it takes to provide an abused or neglected child with an advocate each year.
At the end of the Kid Walk - Saturday, October 13th at noon, all teams who meet the minimum $1,000 goal will receive a prize!
The Top Earning Teams Contest is now well underway. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams will win a prize package
for eight. Past prizes have included dinner at Chapala's, lunch at Babe's Pizzeria, and tickets to the North Coast Repertory Theater.
Congratulations
to the winners of the five Kick-Off games:
"Valley Girls" of North Valley Bank
"Team Razor" of Eureka High DECA
"The Art Team"
"US Bank" of Arcata
"Friends of Chris Kerrigan"
Each team won a $100 North Valley Bank "Care-for-kids" Award toward their overall fundraising goal.
